Turn an audio recording into a lesson, in your own voice
Upload an audio recording and Knola transcribes it, gives students a Listen player with a word-by-word transcript, and can make slides and a video that play your own recording as the narration.
What’s changed
Lessons were built from documents or video, with a generated voice. Now an audio recording can be the lesson itself, and the slides and video Knola makes from it use your voice.
Who gets itEarly access
How it works
- Drop an MP3, M4A, WAV or similar file onto the Audio tile in a lesson’s upload box.
- Follow it through uploading and transcribing, then rename chapters, or use Fix a word to correct a term everywhere at once.
- Click Make slides and video from it, preview the video and click Publish.
- Use Write the notes or Write the quiz to build the rest of the lesson from the transcript.
Good to know
- Files up to 100 MB.
- No credits for a voice: your recording is the voiceover. Slides cost your usual deck credits.
- Students get speed from 0.75x to 2x, skip buttons, resume, and a transcript they can click to jump.
- An audio recording never overwrites a video’s transcript.
