How much does Skool cost?
Skool has two plans. Hobby is $9 a month, with a 10% + 30¢ fee on every sale. Pro is $99 a month, with 2.9% + 30¢, which covers card processing. Paying yearly gets 2 months free. There is a 14-day free trial.
Does Skool take a percentage of sales?
Yes. Skool takes 10% + 30¢ of every sale on Hobby, and 2.9% + 30¢ on Pro (3.9% + 30¢ on sales over $900). If Skool’s Growth Boost brings you a paying member, Skool also keeps 30% of that member’s payments. Growth Boost is on by default, and you can turn it off.
Is Skool good for selling courses?
Skool is good for communities, and its Classroom works well for lessons you give to members. For selling a course on its own, it is light: Skool’s pages show no sales page builder, funnels, order bumps, coupons, quizzes or certificates. Knola has all of those, and builds the course with AI.
Can I use Skool and Knola together?
Yes. Keep Skool for your community and live calls. Build and sell the course on Knola, with its own sales page and checkout, and share the link with your group. Your students learn on Knola and talk on Skool.
Is Knola really a one-time payment?
Yes. You pay once for a licence. If you sell through Knola’s checkout, Knola takes 7.5% of each sale. Use your own checkout and Knola takes nothing. Knola Pro ($37/month) is optional and removes the fee.
Can I move my Skool course to Knola?
Yes. Upload your videos and files to Knola, and Knola transcribes the videos and drafts the lessons. Then paste in your students’ emails: Knola enrols every student and emails them an invite. Got a big course? Get in touch through our help page and we will help you plan the move.
What happens to my Skool group if I stop paying?
Skool’s payment terms say that at the end of your billing period, the group is archived. The content stays read-only and no new content can be added. On Knola there is nothing to stop paying: pay once and your course stays online.
Can I sell ebooks and downloads, not just courses?
Yes. Knola is not only for video courses. Turn your lessons into ebooks, worksheets and checklists with AI, or upload your own files, then sell them on their own, as an order bump, or bundled with a course. Buyers get their download straight after checkout.
Do I have to use Knola’s AI?
No. The AI is there when you want it, never required. If you have already made your course, upload your videos, PDFs and files, write and arrange the lessons yourself, add quizzes and certificates, and sell it with Knola’s checkout. It is the same one-time licence, with no monthly Skool bill: pay once and your course stays online.
