Digital badges, the Issued list, and certificates given by hand
Give every certificate a digital badge students can add to LinkedIn, keep every certificate you’ve awarded in one Issued list to correct, revoke and renew, and give certificates by hand or to up to 500 people from a spreadsheet.
What’s changed
Certificates were earned only by finishing a course online, with no badge and no record of who held one. Now badges, a full record and certificates given by hand come together.
Who gets itPro schools for badges and the Issued list
How it works
- Open your course’s Certificate page, then Badge, to choose a design or upload your own, and set skills and validity.
- Open Issued to search, correct names, revoke or send renewals.
- Give a certificate by entering a recipient, or upload or paste a spreadsheet of up to 500 rows.
- Set default issuer details, styles and signatures for every course in Settings, then Certificates.
Good to know
- Badges, the Issued list and giving certificates by hand are Pro; certificates, PDFs and check pages are on every plan.
- Badges meet the Open Badges 3.0 standard and import into platforms like Credly.
- New recipients join your Audience with a passwordless student account.
- One certificate per person per course, earned or given.
