Discount links now work in funnel checkouts

Add ?code= and your discount code to any funnel link, and the discount is already applied when the buyer reaches checkout. Before, buyers had to type funnel codes, and that often failed. A code that has expired or isn't for this offer is ignored, so the buyer still pays the full price.

Before, a buyer in a funnel had to type a discount code at checkout, and typed codes often failed. Now the code rides along in the link, from the sales page to the checkout, and is applied for them.

How it works

1. Open the offer in Offers and, on the Setup tab, add a code under Discount codes.
2. Check the code shows Live. Codes go live when the offer does, with Go live.
3. On the Funnels page, click Copy link for the funnel that sells that offer.
4. Add ?code= and your code to the end, for example ?code=LAUNCH20, and share it.
5. Buyers can read the sales page first. The discount is waiting at checkout.

Good to know

• The code must belong to the main offer the funnel sells, in your school, and show Live. Anything else is ignored and the buyer pays the normal price.
• The link keeps the code for the rest of the buyer's visit, so it still applies after they move from the sales page to the checkout.
• A code applies to the whole order, including any order bump.
• Shop links for products already worked this way. Now funnels do too.
